Overview Manage, develop and administer safety, environment and security function at the Elkmont Facility, including Worker's Compensation, safety training and related administration. Design and develop safety policies, practices and procedures to reduce the frequency of work related accidents and injuries with emphasis on aggressive prevention efforts. Responsibilities Manage environment, health and safety programs, compliance reporting and permitting. Conduct/coordinate training programs in occupational safety and health as it relates to accident prevention and loss control, ensuring compliance to the Snap-on EH&S system (ISO14000). (Training includes Lockout/Tagout; Confined Space; First Aid and CPR; Bloodborne Pathogens; Hazard Communication; emergency response; evacuation; and security.) Lead plant safety team in conducting inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Provide guidance on safety improvements and ensure corrective action is taken. Manage plant environmental matters, including hazardous waste, chemical labeling, storage and transport. Ensure that Environmental training is provides as required. Participate with engineering with new equipment and processes to ensure cell redesign efforts are in compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintain documentation and generate reports, ensuring full compliance to OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations. Manage workers compensation program both internally, and with outside claims administrator and case managers. Ensure best medical attention is given, while still managing costs. Develop and implement security programs to protect associates, control visitor entry, and prevent theft. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS A bachelor's degree in Safety, EHS or related field. 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal laws, including environmental and OSHA regulations. Meet requirements of 40 CFR 264/265.16 (NR 630.16) Personnel Training to include:
Identification/Listing of Hazardous Waste Generator Standards Containers, Labeling, Storage, Record-Keeping Inspections Emergency Planning, Preparedness Reporting Spill Containment Emergency Response Plan Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid computer skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Excellent presentation/training skills. Demonstrated management skills.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Environmental Health & SafetyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
