Material Planner II

Overview
Manages all outside suppliers and keeps invoices reconciled and ensure prompt supplier payment. Manages inventories of all material with an outside process and keeps databases updated and accurate. Cycle count inventories, create, release, and print production orders as needed, and help with some Direct material purchasing.
Responsibilities
Monitors and maintains current inventory levels of outside operations materials; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems. Reconciles supplier invoices, records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports. Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves. Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry. Creates, releases, and prints production orders as needed and orders direct materials as needed.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
2 or 4 year business or related degree and at least 5 - 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data. Database management skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods. Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
Position requires: a) Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to computer reports; b) Initiates action to replenish stock by processing purchase orders and other related paperwork; c) Receiving, unpacking, and delivering items to shelves or requesting departments; d) Inspects shipments for accuracy and completeness, and resolves inconsistencies; and e) Performs routine clerical duties in support of unit.
Clerical Skills: associates need to know how to type, file, use a PC, Excel, Word, Power Point, and keep accurate records.
Communication Skills: associates communicate with co-workers, suppliers, and others to make sure that accurate records are being made of inventory and that materials are being delivered as needed to keep assembly running.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy counts. Attention to Detail is a critical skill for this position
Physical Demands - Walking, bending, reaching, lifting (30 lbs., but on occasion more than 50 lbs.)


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
